We accept payments by Mastercard & Visa in USD currency for your shopping convenience. We believe in good old fashioned personal customer service and want you to feel confident about placing and paying for your orders with us. That is why we take all payments by phone to ensure your payment is being properly handled. A receipt of your payment will be forwarded to you by email. Payment Policy & Tax Free Sales
United Furniture: Is the first furniture company in Germany to specialize in offering Tax Free Furniture Sales to U.S. active duty Military members and DoD Contractors. Since 1967 United Furniture is still owned and operated by the original family, now in the 2nd & newest 3rd generation. We believe in providing our American expats residing in Germany " a home away from home " by offering easy convenient shopping and professional after sales services.
USD Currency Pricing: We understand how costly conversion rates can be from USD to Euro, not just for cash transactions but also for credit and debit card transactions, which is why our prices are listed using fixed USD rates. These same rates are used for our finance options and all payments requested and processed by Visa & Mastercard are made directly in USD to avoid the conversion fees and fluctuations.
TAX FREE SALES: If you are eligible to purchase tax free by providing us with a VAT form (Abwicklungsschein), then you can save the German 19% Value Added Taxes. Just let us know you have a VAT form while placing your order and we will send you the confirmation with the tax free prices. Just provide us with a copy of the VAT form and we will make the final bill tax free and collect the original VAT form by delivery of the furniture.
Risk Free Shopping: Payment is only required as soon as our service department notifies you that the furniture you ordered is in stock and is ready for delivery. Once you have agreed to a delivery date the payment policy is as follows:
Credit Card Payment: MasterCard & Visa credit & debit Cards are processed 1 day before the furniture is due to be delivered unless otherwise authorized by you. Our service staff will contact you by phone to process your card securely online.
Please note: For special orders we require a 20% down payment.
Financing: The 1st Finance payment is due 30 days after the initial delivery, the payment is generally made by an Electronic Funds Transfer directly from your checking account to our stateside bank. If you have agreed to a down payment then it is handled with the same procedure as credit card and cash payments.
Cash / Certified bank checks: If you prefer to pay by cash or certified check you may do so when you pick up the furniture from our store or by delivery directly to our staff. We will provide you with a legitimate payment receipt immediately.

Delivery Services
One of the reasons why United Furniture has been successful for over 50 years is because we believe that good service not only makes the difference but it is also what our customers deserve! We may not be perfect, but we work hard to provide the best service possible.
Furniture Delivery: We also provide a professional delivery service with complete installation service. The full service can be provided to most areas in and surrounding military Installations in Germany. This service starts from $80.00 up to $250.00 depending on traveling distance from our warehouse in Ramstein.
Furniture Pickup: If you wish to pick up the furniture yourself we can arrange for you to pick up the items from our warehouse in Ramstein or we can send the items to our store locations in Landstuhl and Wiesbaden where the goods can be collected by appointment. Our staff will be happy to help you load the goods into your vehicle, there are no charges for this service.
Delivery Areas & Fees: The areas we deliver to are listed by the first 2 numbers of the zip code for the address you live in. For example if you live in Landstuhl with the zip code 66849 then you will need to look for the delivery area with the 66 and the delivery fee will be listed in that column. If the first 2 numbers of your zip code are not listed then our company does not provide service in your area, however we will be happy to arrange for an independent delivery contractor to provide you with a quote for their service.
The following delivery fees include the setup and Installation of the furniture and apply for the following zip code zones:
Delivery Zone A is $80.00 : Zip Code numbers Included are 54 - 55 - 56 - 60 - 66 - 67 - 68
Delivery Zone B is $100.00: Zip Code numbers Included are 61 - 63 - 64 - 68 - 69
Delivery Zone C is $120.00: Zip Code numbers Included are 70 - 71 - 72 - 73 - 74 - 75 - 76
Delivery Zone D is $150.00: Zip Code numbers Included are 90 - 91 - 92 - 93 - 94 - 95 - 96 - 97
For all other areas in Germany we are happy to assist you in finding a carrier to quote a price to deliver the Items to you.
